Hi Richie,
just wanted to say how much your music has always meant to me, I was lucky enough to meet you at the wildwood when Rusty and marie were married, I have a collection of all my favorite country rock artists on my wall, is there any way I can get a signed photo of you?

Thanks

What a great positive effect your music had on me as a young person, thank you. I would like to find "sad memory" in piano sheet music. Can you help? Blessings, Carle McCambridge.

Richie,

I just found your website and blog. If I could work it out, I would love to go to Israel with you guys. God bless you for the work you are doing now, pastoring, teaching, serving Jesus. It brings a tear to my eye. I posted the coment below, on your website guestbook, but thought I'd include it here.

"Hi Richie,

I've been a fan since your Buffalo Springfield days. Yes that dates me, I'm 56 and still love Rock and Roll music. I think Larry Norman put it so well all those years ago. "I'm not knocking the hymns, just give me a song that has a beat, I'm not knocking the hymns, just give me a song that moves my feet, I don't want none of that funeral music, I'm not dead, yet!"

It has been such a joy to see so many of the Rock & Rollers I followed back in the day, now becoming brothers in The Lord! I'm a bit of a singer/songwriter myself. I'd love to share some of my music with you, one of these days. I even have one or two you might could use in your worship services, if you would be interested.

BTW, how is Rusty Young, these days? He's by far the best steel player I have ever heard, Al Perkins coming in a close second. I'd love to see Rusty become a believer! I only have one complaint to offer you. All your tour dates are out west, somewhere. You need to come to the Carolinas. I would love to meet you, shake your hand and thank you for all the great music you have brought into the world. I still listen to and love all your old R&R stuff, especially with POCO.

Ok, enough for now. One last thing, come to Charlotte, NC! We would give you a great welcome and taste of our southern hospitality! "

God Bless You,
Mitch Hayes

What is the price for this trip? What is included in the price? I went to Israel in 1998 and never forgot the experience. It gives you a feeling of being God's country like you cant get anywhere else. KH

I am a fan from the 70s (actually saw Poco at Buffalo State College) and what was considered a Jesus freak at the time. I can still smile and dance to this music while praising God. Thank you.

I have been relishing in the videos on YouTube of the Stagecoach Festival and can tell you that I have been brought to tears. To hear this music brought to life again is very special. I am so pissed I missed Richie Furay at Copper this summer when my friends from Down The Line were there was especially disappointing. I will see you play this year - if you will cooperate by doing some shows.

I am an old rock and roller from the 60s - The Heard. There are not many of us left and I just found out today that our singer has just started his second bout with cancer in 5 years. Pray for us.

I have tied in with the Heartsfield band over the past few years and just finished our 11th album. We were a couple years behind Poco, but had our own brand of music which we cannot stop making. Let's hook up. We played together many decades ago. We should do it again.

Richie/Scott/Aaron/Alan and Jesse,
Thanks for the wonderful evening at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA! The sound and the performance was electrifying.....just as you promised Richie before the show.....there was no "letting up".

RIchie, I hope that old photo brought back some "good" memories for you.

Scott, as per your request....I'm honored to be writing here on this blog for the first time. I thought I would share some thoughts from my heart.

For the countless Richie Furay fans (Poconuts, BS, SHF), you guys know the immense talent this group has. I don't need to repeat what's been said here already.

For the people that are curious or newly interested in the Richie Furay Band, here's what I can tell you. Catch one of the shows if you can, or buy a CD.This group puts it's heart and soul into each song. As a musician that attended many performances, I left this show feeling good. Maybe it's Richie's infectious optimism, I dunno. But I can tell you the sound was tight and upbeat. The songs are based on strong harmonies......you know......the kind that "warms" your soul. You don't experience that too much nowadays.

Scott, Richie gets his money's worth out of you. Switching from keyboards, banjo to guitar in one song.......amazing. Great riffs on the solos......

Jesse, your solo was fantastic.....such a beautiful voice.

Alan, didn't hear a missed beat. I really enjoyed the way you played each tune, not overpowering....kicking the beat up at the right moment.....playing into each song "embellishing" at the right moment.

Aaron, I felt every big note......I think you guys set up the bass amp right in front of me. Great playing dude......enjoyed some of those walking bass lines.

Anyway, thanks a million!
